Nevada Governor Jim Gibbons Appoints New Member To Lyon County Commission

Carson City – Governor Jim Gibbons today appointed Raymond Fierro to the Lyon County Commission.  Fierro is a 30-year resident of Nevada and presently works as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the Nevada Air National Guard.  Fierro’s professional past also includes work in the financial services industry and local government.  He is presently a member of the Lyon County Planning Commission and has previously served on the Dayton Regional Advisory Board.

“I am pleased Governor Gibbons has selected me for this position,” Fierro said, “I look forward to working with the other members of the Lyon County Commission to further the efficiency and effectiveness of our county government.”

Fierro will occupy the Lyon County Commission District 3 seat vacated by the resignation of Don Tibbals last September and will serve until the General Election in November of 2012.
